tennessee (BB-43) division

U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps

Test your limits

The mission of BB43 is to introduce youth ages 10 - 17 to the sea-going military services and U.S. naval operations and training while developing in them a sense of personal and corporate pride, patriotism, courage, teamwork, accountability, and self-reliance. Our vision is to provide an organization that trains our youth to become the servant leaders of tomorrow; confident in their abilities to lead and mentor, and never hesitant to help others in need. The core values of our program are Honor, Courage, and Commitment.

Our unit conducts drill one weekend per month from 0730 (7:30 am) - 1600 (4 pm) on SAT and SUN in Millington, TN, and our cadets also attend additional trainings over summer and/or winter breaks. Cadets must maintain 75% attendance and advance in rank each year through physical challenges, academic coursework, and annual training evolutions outside of the local unit.

You and your children ages 10-17 are invited to attend one of our next interest meetings. Our once-a-month weekend drills are held at 8010 Hornet Ave., Millington, Tenn. We are located next door to the Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) in Building 763. Parking is located at the rear of the building off Dakar Street. All potential cadets must attend an interest meeting with a parent. Potential cadets are welcome to stay the remainder of the day and shadow the unit.

Our next enrollment period for new cadets will be AUG/SEP 24. The application packet and $230/cadet enrollment fee must be submitted by 15 OCT 24 to be included in the FALL enrollment period. After the FALL enrollment period, our next recruiting period will be JAN/FEB 25

The next interest meetings at our Hornet Avenue headquarters will be held at 0830 on 3 AUG and 7 SEP.
